This week has been VBS at our church. It is also Steven's first full week at Home Depot. The kids I began keeping last week have come everyday this week. My house will never be the same. (did i mention I'm a lil' ocd about my house?)
So up at 7am everyday has taken some getting used to. I am an 8am kinda girl. We have had a really productive week though. You would be surprised what getting up and getting dressed does for your day. I been so much more productive, we have been on a major schedule and it is working very well.
The kids watch cartoons from 8:00- 9:00
We eat breakfast and clean up 8:00-9:00
outside time from 9:00-12:00
lunch time 12:00-1:00
pool time 1:00-3:00
rest/movie time 3:00-4:30
and then tidy up and get ready for their parents and for us to head to VBS. I think I will keep it going into next week.
We had the cutest VBS theme this year. It was Gods Incredibles. We had the Incredibles come in every night. The song leader would send out the superman symbol and the Incredibles would come b/c Superman is "on vacation" so it was really adorable. EXCEPT Wes just knew Superman would finally show up. Well much to every one's surprise he did last night . It was our preacher and Wes says
"That guy is to old to be Superman and he can't even fly"
that's my boy!

Yes, I had the same week as you :o) It was tons of fun, but I feel like I need a vacation from VBS!
I will certainly pray for you guys. That's gotta be rough, I am so, so sorry you're having to deal with the job change. I so hope you are not feeling guilty about the possibility of needing to work. You guys are great. You are not one of those families that buys the way over priced house, brand new cars, private school, tons of brand name clothes, etc. and says you "need" two incomes. You are such good stewards and there are lots of examples in the Bible of women who helped support their families. You are blessing and honoring Steven by being willing to work and by taking some of the pressure off of him.
You are blessing and providing for your family...that's a real wife and mom in my book :o)
Love you, sweetie. Keep me updated.
I meant to tell you, Wes may get a surprise package in the mail today.
Anna has been telling me for several weeks now that she doesn't really want her i dog anymore. She came home from your house wanting to give it to Wes because she said her really liked it. So on Friday she packed it all up herself and put a note in there (I didn't get to see it, so I'm not sure what it says!) and had me mail it off.
And don't feel funny, that's just Anna, she LOVES to give stuff away. She's excited to hear if he's surprised.
I hope he likes it :o)
I'm glad you're feeling some better. It totally reminds me of the day a couple months or so ago when Glen told me we needed to not do outside school stuff because of money. It was this heart breaking sense of loss and frustration and some anger. Like the kids were going to miss out on something and it totally wasn't their fault. I spent most of the day in tears and broke down a couple of times talking to the kids and him.
It was really hard, but I trust the Lord and know He was using it to direct our paths to where they needed to be. I feel peaceful about it now (I just sent off the email to the school last night), but it has been hard.
