SLOAN SELLARS SPAGETTI SUPPER AND SILENT AUCTION

Attention all parents, grandparents and anyone who loves special kids!

Help us get this Special Girl a wheel chair lift for her Van!

I need your help! I am co-hosting an event on Friday night. We are desperately trying to raise money for a little girl named SLOAN! (use that link to read her story)

Sloan Sellars is a ten year old little girl from Watauga Elementary school. She is a Twin. She and her sister were born prematurely. Due to some major labor and delivery complications she has Cerebral Palsy. Her twin is typically developing. Sloan is wheel chair bound. She can not stand, sit or even roll over with out the assistance. She has limited muscle tone in her upper body so she can not push up or pull to help with these tasks.

Holly is an amazing mother. She trucks on with out complaint. She lifts Sloan no less than 8x's a day. Putting her in her chair every morning, taking her out to change her and lifting her back.
Why does she not use a lift you ask? Well Holly suffers from diabetes. Due to the uncontrollable stress on her body her blood sugar can not be medically stabilized. She suffers from debilitating neuropathy. This causes her hands and feet to be curled all the time.

With all these things working against them it makes it hard for her to go many places. This includes the life extending therapies she needs.

The GOOD OLE' INSURANCE COMPANY says that a lift for her wheel chair is not medically necessary. HA HA HA!!

That Brings me to my plea.............

Please repost this on your blog and let people know about this event. Jumping in out car with our kids and running to the store, pool, movies etc.. is something we all take for granted. Please help us give that option to this family!

Stuff like this is really hard for us with the Celiac thing, but I hope you guys have a wonderful time and that they are exceedingly, abundantly blessed!
