Our Summer Journal

So I have a grand plan to use this blog to keep a diary of our summer days. Well we will see how that goes!

So for updates..........My papa is doing amazingly well. He is recovering VERY quickly. He came home on Saturday (17th) and on Monday he was out helping us in the garden. There was some cancer cells on the outer edge of the tissue the removed so he will see the doctor in 5 weeks to discuss further treatment.

Saying goodbye on our last day of school was very sad. I didn't anticipate it would be that hard. Whew....... I was wrong.

As for summer vacation it began very well. We picked up report cards and spent the day at the pool with friends. We then cam home cleaned up and went to dinner with some friends and had a great night.

Saturday night we went to a pool party and grill out. Very relaxing,very fun.

Sunday we headed out to church and then stopped by McDonald's and headed to the flea Market (where daddy was working all weekend) where we picked up lots of new crocs a cool food chopper and some toys for the kiddos.

Today we spent the day with Steven's parents. The kids ran around the yard in swim suits and played with the water guns we picked up on the way over. Then they played in the rain. his parents agreed to keep the kids for a couple hours while we ran to grocery store. We LOVE to cook together so getting to shop together is fun for us.

Hope your Memorial day was spent remembering the sacrifice of all those who serve our country (in any capacity) and enjoying the company of family and friends.
