Today is May 1st. The kids are ecstatic that it is May! Know why? They get out of school this month. In the words of Wesley "We will never have to get up early again." He is thrilled at the idea of getting to wake up on his own. The kids are very excited about the journey we are starting with homeschooling ( as are Steven and I)! We are going to begin school again in July and try to maintain a year round format with breaks in the fall and a four week break around Christmas time.
I have spent the past few weeks working diligently to map out the first 6 months of our school year. I am so lucky to know many amazing families who have chosen this education plan for their families and I am very excited to spend time with them.
I know their will be people who judge me for doing this and to you I can only say " I am not saying that this is right for every family, We are saying that this is right for OUR family!"

I referred a girl to your site who is feeling led to homeschooling, but wanted to hear from some others that felt the same way. I'm SURE you don't mind. Her name is Tracy and she's a very sweet, christian mommy.

I hear constantly how patient I must be to homeschool. Patient = crazy on some days!
