it is going to say.........................
"I'm not a spoiled brat, I have autism"
please allow my parents to do all
the talking to me because YOU
don't make any sense!
and we are going to wear it to all the doctors appt's and trip to the E.R. b/c heaven help us there be a constant face at our pediatricians office. i mean i knew when we went in there we were going to be strep tested. NEVER GOES WELL( see previous post). So, why did it then need to involve some scary (however nice she may be) looking nurse talking very loudly in my sons face. HE DOESN'T RATIONALIZE, not gonna work! He doesn't care if you have other patients or the doc is ready. He can only see that GIANT q-tip your about to put in his MOUTH. now, nothing but cheese goes in there remember. he only ate crunchy things for four years so i don't know why anyone would think he would just open up his mouth to have a cotton ball (close your eyes and imagine rubbing steel wool on your teeth) shoved down his throat!
he was very clear in letting the SCARY nurse know that he thought she was trying to KILL him, and he would never trust her or the pretty nurse again.
Strep test was negative. However, both girls were positive. So they are treating him anyway(since there is no way in the world they got a good swab). Well, if he is gonna get it anyway why can't we just get a SHOT? oh no, because i should have to endure the drama of giving him medicine (IN HIS MOUTH) for ten days! Yeah me! Poor him!

Poor him is right! You have my sympathy.
Rachel,
I came across your blog and wanted to say "hi!" I haven't run into you since crayon-shopping, but will probably see you at an upcoming consignment sale here or there!
I hope the girls are better, and that you are having some success with Wesley's medicine. I have a friend whose son is also autistic. I can already tell that she would relate well to your blog.
I hope your week gets off to a good start!

You SO need to get that shirt made. So, so true! Don't you wish people just got it?! I'm praying for your family tonight. Just know that you are a fabulous mom. Anyone can see that.
I think you should make that t-shirt...I would definitely buy one! You are such a great mom and I admire your patience with people who don't understand. Hope you guys are feeling better.
