I wrote it that way in honor of my 9 year old daughter. She is extremely particular about how people write Christmas. She says the hyphen adds more emphasis to Christ so I say go for it baby girl!
I can't believe that Christmas Eve is only a week away. I also can't believe that 2 weeks from now is a new year. I realize there is no physical divide between the new year and the old year but there is a sense of finality to it. There are some things I really wanted to get done in 2007. Some small and some large. Small things like I still have not seen my girlfriend Brea's beautiful new baby girl Mary Elizabeth. My kids have had strep and pneumonia. Mary Elizabeth was a preemie so I am so scared I will make her sick. You should check out her blog breagirl.blogspot.com !
I wanted to do more for autism research and other charities. I feel like it has been a GREAT year I just am not sure I have done enough to justify my role as home maker. Do we as mothers ever feel we have done enough?
In the new year I would like to challenge my self to do a good deed daily. Whether it be something extra I do for my family or holding the door for someone. It could be a bit bigger perhaps like buying more sandwiches for the homeless man that we all see in Rivergate and drive right by. Buying more meals than average for the local mission, not just enough that it doesn't effect my spending.
Spending less time worrying about what other people think of me and more about what GOD thinks of me.
I hope and pray I can live up to my own expectations and the Lords.
HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRIST-MAS AND A JOYFUL NEW YEAR!

Just remember God loves you more than you love your babies. And Merry Christ-mas to you!
