Crazy Crazy Days.....

It has been a week. to begin with Steven's grandmother passed away a week ago and we had visitation and funeral and all that. It was our children's first funeral to attend. Did anyone hear that? I took my autistic son to a funeral! It was dramatic, he was very confused and over stimulated. After a while he calmed down. I think he is keyed up lately b/c he hears all the talk of school starting. Anyone that knows us knows school is a very bad experience for the first 6 months with Wes. I hate to seem negative but it is true, at least so far. I am hoping and praying that this year will be different.

My Grandmother has been having a problem with bouts of Congestive Heart Failure for the past 5 years. She is now retaining fluid all the time and is going into renal failure. Her doctor told us he thought it would be best for her to be in a care facilty. He is scared she will have and episode and be alone. This is a very independent woman who has always taken care of herself. We were able to talk to her about it and she was actually OK with it and then DENIED. Insurance won't pay. She is now living with my parents. My mother is still recovering from the side effects cervical cancer. Please pray for this situation.

We are so excited about taking a short roadie to our friends house tomorrow. Wes doesnt really like to ride in the car. So just of us please.

we are so excited too! our kids have been praying about you guys coming over for the past week...they pray you will get here safely and everyone will have a good time :o)

it's a different place in life, eh? grandparents getting older and having health issues. my grandmother has changed dramatically in the last few years. a strong, independant woman who used to make bacon biscuits every morning and spank me with a switch now can barely walk to get in my house. i'll be praying for you guys. how wonderful, though, that our children are getting to grow up knowing their great-grandparents. i never knew mine real well, but our children know all of the great-grandparents very well and have been blessed to spend lots of time with them. the wisdom of the aged...

The whole grandparent thing has been going on in our family too. Not a lot of fun.
Do you need to borrow our dvd player? Portable for the van? Let me know. It is a life saver for us on long trips.
